Role Overview:
Client is seeking an embedded Linux engineer contractor to review, investigate, optimize and increase efficiency of a manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate opportunities to minimize manufacturing process times.
- Interface between development and manufacturing personnel.
- Emulate target specifications and behaviors off target.
- Create and release builds to manufacturing for integration testing.
- Document and present results.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Cmake configuration and build integration.
- Ubuntu development environment.
- Python and bash scripting languages.
- C language.
- Mini-PCs or Raspberry PI and USB interfaces.
- Test and verification procedures.
- Microsoft Office documentation, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong self-lead management.
- Strong verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NAND flash controller drivers.
- Flash bad block management concepts.
- Embedded Linux product manufacturing concepts.
- Off target NAND flash emulation.
- Flexibility to work out of regular office hours to cater to the global organization needs.
- Ready to travel as needed (travel involved < 10%).
