Job Summary:

Client is embarking on a transformative two-year initiative to redesign all external-facing applications and enhance the overall digital experience. The new digital experience will serve a broad set of users including Injured Workers, Policyholders, State Agencies, Brokers, and Medical Providers. As a UX Designer Consultant, you will collaborate closely with the client’s internal UX team to define, design, and deliver intuitive digital interfaces aligned with our Design System and informed by ongoing user research. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of client’s external digital platforms by leveraging best-in-class UX methodologies and cutting-edge Generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business and user needs into clear design objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements
• Align UX strategy with broader program objectives and KPIs
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research
• Develop detailed personas and user journey maps
• Identify user pain points and key opportunity areas
• Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Develop and deliver complete Figma design files covering all external applications
• Ensure designs are accessible (WCAG compliant), scalable, and aligned with the Design System
• Identify and incorporate Generative AI features to enhance user experience
• Define touchpoints requiring human assistance or escalation to staff
• Conduct usability testing with target user groups
• Analyze findings to improve and iterate on designs
• Work closely with researchers to validate hypotheses and design decisions
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is realized in production
• Support implementation partners with detailed design documentation

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experience in UX design and research
• Proficiency in Figma, including advanced prototyping and component libraries
• Strong portfolio showcasing low- and high-fidelity designs
• Experience in building and managing design systems
• Knowledge and application of WCAG accessibility standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong decision-making and strategic thinking skills
• High level of integrity, adaptability, and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience designing with or for Generative AI technologies
• Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment
